DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform System Test Engineering activities on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and Ground Control Element (GCE) programs, with a focus on test & evaluation of Gray Eagle’s Modernized GCE testing to classical text-based requirements, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) data products, and high-level functional requirements.
- Under general supervision, will work as part of a team to perform test and evaluation of both small and large-scale programs, and determine & develop approaches to test new capabilities and functionality.
- Duties to include system level Qualification, Verification and Validation Testing of hardware and software with emphasis placed on deriving & tracking test requirements; supporting integration activities for new and emerging technologies and capabilities; generation of system level Test Plans and Procedures; conducting SIL, Ground, and Flight testing; and providing accurate and detailed reports of findings and results.
- Will be required to act as Test Director for ground and flight tests, to include providing ground and flight crew direction/leadership during tests, ensure the safe and efficient execution of ground and flight tests, and represent GA-ASI to multiple customer entities during those tests.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; four or more years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; two or more years with a Master's degree; or a recent graduate with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- Experience with testing to systems developed using MBSE principles is highly desired.
- Prior flight test experience (civilian or military) is highly desired.
- Experience with integration, test, and evaluation of networked systems is desired. Prior experience with Wireshark or network dissectors desired. Prior work with network protocols for switching and routing desired such as BGP and IGMP. Cisco Certified Network Analyst (CCNA) and/or CompTIA Security+ qualifications are desired but not required.
- Must understand engineering concepts, principles, codes and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts; and expanding knowledge of principles, concepts, theory, and practices in related technical specialties.
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and determine the appropriate approach at the task level, or with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to complex problems.
- Must have strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance is required.
- Active Secret level clearance is desired.
- 25% travel is required.
