SALARY
The minimum salary is
$24.365 per hour
This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime, if applicable.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to coordinate communication between the division and residential business customers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s degree, vocational technical degree, or specialized training that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two (2) years of college education
- Four (4) years of related experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Scheduling and dispatching drivers, work crews, vehicles or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needs
- Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from work crews, field inspectors, supervisors or emergency personnel
- Using telephones, two-way radios or text messages to contact employees or emergency personnel
- Speaking with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, requests for services or equipment
- Being in charge of communications within company assigned territories
- Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information
- Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
- Flagger and Work Zone Safety within six (6) months of hire
- Minimum level 2 IMSA Signal Technician within six (6) months of hire
- Valid Driver’s License
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- All positions require drug testing and background check before employment and may require a post-job offer physical as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16.
- Subject to call back and on-call rotation.
- Must be able to operate Urban County Government equipment and vehicles in a safe, prudent and responsible manner.
EXAMINATION
Examination will be a training and experience evaluation from information provided on the application at filing deadline date.
