Seasons Center for Behavioral Health is looking for full time Outpatient Therapists to provide services through a non-traditional clinical model working for the SAMHSA CMHC Grant.

Summary

The Traveling Outpatient Therapist will:

• Provide services to individuals in their home allowing clients the maximum level of comfort and ease in their surroundings
• Diagnose and treat individuals suffering from mental, emotional, or behavioral health challenges
• Counsel individuals or groups to assist in overcoming challenges, adjusting to life, and making changes by breaking down barriers to accessing care and other mental health services
• Apply evidence-based practices and interventions effectively
• Counsel and collaborate with family members to assist in understanding, dealing with, or supporting their loved ones
• Support clients in their path to recovery and/or symptom management
• Help clients achieve or regaining maximum levels of functioning

The successful candidate must have:

• Preferably, completion of a Master’s program in Social Work or Counseling plus an active Iowa license.
• OR the eligibility to obtain an Iowa license at the conclusion of a Master’s level program of Social Work or Counseling with 2 years of experience in the mental health field
• Two years of experience in the field, working with both mental health and substance use disorders preferred.
• Previous experience working with SMI, SED, and COD, persons impacted by trauma, and working with diversity and other cultures preferred
• Frequent travel is required for this position, so a valid driver’s license is required

This position could be based out of several of our Northwest Iowa offices including, Storm Lake, Sioux City or Carroll.
