Job Title: Usability Researcher
Department: WS
Expected Weekly Hours: 40
Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Remote
Pay Range: $60.70 - $62.80 per hour
Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing valuable research data, methodologies and practices to the client’s business unit(s). If you are a researcher who enjoys working on innovative and large scale projects and developing relationships with many stakeholders, this position is for you!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage usability research projects, holding the client’s products and features to the highest level of craft and quality
- Create and drive end user (target consumers and small-medium-businesses) engagement programs, bringing actionable insights back to the product teams that will go directly back in to the product roadmap
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering and business partners during all steps of research
- Translate research findings into actionable recommendations and deliver them in compelling ways
- Evangelize research as an essential aspect of product and business development
- Perform other duties as needed
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factor Engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of experience participating in usability/UX research projects including running usability studies/benchmarks
- Quantitative experimental design
- Qualitative project experience
- Experience using tools such as dscout and Qualtrics
- Experience using data storage, processing and visualization tools such as Azure Data tools, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, AWS, Google Cloud and script (Python) or application based data processing preferred
- Experience working on cross functional product development teams

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for clear, inclusive, and collaborative feedback
- Ability to drive collaboration across multiple teams in different time zones
- Demonstrated strong ability to remotely work well within a team environment, or independently; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to work and interact effectively with team members from other disciplines, cultures, and organizations
- Ability to take initiative to ask questions, ask for help, or provide updates, without reluctance
- Ability to meet the eligibility requirements for working in the US without RLA sponsorship for employment visa status
- Strong computer skills that include proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio), Teams and SharePoint
Language Skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- At times, may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the duties of the position.

- The position typically operates in a standard office environment.
- This role may use standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
