GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Utility Operator will manage all Finished Goods, Raw Material Preparation, Transportation within the Facility, Material Grinding, and Blending. Including secondary operations such as Assembly, Tumbling, and Sorting parts. The Utility Operator will also complete basic machine maintenance, support Injection Molding Technicians during Set-Ups, Operate Machines as needed, and support all aspects of Quality for each production run.
· RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Raw Material Preparation – Grinding, Blending, and Loading Dryers
· Tumbling and Sorting Good Parts from Sprues
· Cleaning of Grinders, Blenders, Dryers as required
· Packaging and Preparing Finished Goods for Shipping
· Assist Injection Molding Technicians with Set-Ups
· Transport product to and from designated areas in the facility
· Load and unload outgoing and incoming deliveries
· Ensure proper storage and retrieval of Inventory
· Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
· Follow work instructions and procedures carefully
· Record data and report problems as they arise Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery, and Safety Checks
· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
· Perform other duties as requested by Team Leader or Manager
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Manual dexterity and good eyesight are required
· Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
· Adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
· Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
· Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
· Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
· REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or GED required
· Prefer candidates with forklift operation experience
· Reliable attendance record
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Must be available and willing to work overtime and weekends as needed to satisfy customer needs
· Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills are required
· High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
· Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
· Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
· Maintain a clean & safe environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
