Utilization Review Coordinator (UR)/Medical Insurance Biller

Type: Full-time position w/benefits package: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00 pm

Salary Range: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour based on education and experience.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

• Maintains insurance files for each assigned patient
• Ensures patient files contain the proper documentation
• Ensures that authorization to communicate has been received for each patient assigned and adheres to privacy regulations are adhered to.
• Acts as liaison between payor and care provider.
• Monitors CRSR status and gives to therapy coordinator
• Notifies case manager of each patient discharge. Logs call, date time and person notified.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in medical billing and insurance in mental health facility preferred
• Strong telephone and oral communication skills
• Good organization and priority setting skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Preference for candidates with medical background (RN, LPN etc)
• Ability to deal with the public, parents, students, and staff in a professional and diplomatic manner.
