The Canonsburg Warehouse Group is responsible for all material receiving, packaging, shipping, kitting and general inventory control at Progeny Systems, Canonsburg, PA. This group supports production operations as well as engineering development efforts.

The successful candidate for this position should be able to work independently and demonstrate extreme attention to detail and strong organizational tendencies and practices. Be able to work flexible hours as needed and be a team player.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives, stores, packages, distributes, ships all materials, equipment and products within the Progeny Systems Charleroi operation.
• Fulfills work order kit requests and maintains inventory control of a variety of electronic and mechanical parts.
• Enters data and generates reports using Manex MRP tool.
• Assists in shipping and receiving, unloading delivery trucks, packaging/unpacking operations.
• Sorting and placing materials according to warehouse locations.
• Routing of materials to and from inspection station.
• Documenting and tracking of materials such as hazardous chemicals/items with shelf-life, etc.
• Completing requisitions, work orders and requests for materials.
• Maintains warehouse area.
• Adheres to all safety policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to organize information.
• Able to read and understand shipping labels and requests for materials.
• Operate Warehouse tools and equipment such as standup fork truck, manual pallet jack, plastic wrappers, tape guns, box knives, bag sealers, etc.
• Understanding of and ability to complete work orders.
• Be proficient in basic computer skills.

Education/Experience

Applicant needs a high school diploma and a minimum of two years’ experience.

Security Clearance

This position may require the applicant to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs frequently. Job will require a high amount of lifting, bending, standing, walking and sitting, at times, for 8-12 hours a day.
