WAREHOUSE WORKER

PURPOSE:

The primary role of the Warehouse Worker is to pick orders, load and unload trucks in a safe, timely and accurate manner, and to keep the warehouse in an organized, clean and tidy fashion. This is a 40 hour per week position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Unload inbound freight with fork-lift and/or hand jack, and stack in a manner common to the package. Count the number of pallets/cases removed from in-bound trailers or trucks and report same to supervisor. Check and verify actual quantities received against accompanying paper work (invoices, bills of lading, weight bills, etc.).
Load product onto outbound vehicles by picking product designated by bills, invoices, bills of lading, etc. Responsible for accurately picking the product as designated by the accompanying paperwork and verified by the Logistics Supervisor.
Organize and store or load any and all return dunnage or recycled packages in dunnage room or trailer or under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor.
Restock warehouse pick and storage locations.
Change a battery of any electric fork lift.
Attend to the neatness and organization of the warehouse under the direction of the supervisor.
Have knowledge of product code dates, and stock rotation procedures and policies.
Take proper care of the equipment assigned to them and report all malfunctions of that equipment to the Logistics Supervisor.
Perform breakage room duties when required.
Receive POS materials from shipments or parcel delivery and maintain an organized POS storage area.
Pick and pack for shipment POS orders as designated by bills, invoices or bills of lading provided by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Occasionally asked to make emergency deliveries requiring special attention.
Perform miscellaneous duties which may arise during the course of the work day (i.e., load barrels and cases onto delivery trucks; pick special orders,, routine cleaning of warehouse area, etc.).
Take physical inventory counts at the direction of the Logistics Supervisor including recounts where requested.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Physically fit with ability to repetitively lift 175lbs. Reading and interpreting load sheets and other documents
General math skills
Pick up empty and full kegs
Lifting and stacking full cases
Climbing into trucks and fork trucks
Forklift Certified
High School Diploma or GED

HOURS:
Monday through Thursday, beginning at 4 p.m. (3rd shift). The salary noted includes a shift differential.
