POSITION TITLE: Welder/Pipe Fitter

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager/Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The Welder/Pipe Fitter is responsible for completing a variety of job tasks involving general welding, pipe fitting, and excavation. Job responsibilities will also require performing general labor duties when requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist in the preparation of job sites prior to the beginning of a project

· Operate various hand tools, power tools, and equipment used to complete welding projects.

· Fusing metal segments with welding equipment

· Reading blueprints and analyzing design plans for new installations or locating existing pipes

· Using hand and power tools to cut, dismantle, straighten and reshape pipes

· Investigating piping systems to test for leaks and strength

· Fabricating, welding, installing, testing and maintaining piping systems

· Attaching pipes to walls and fixtures using clamps and tools

· Ordering needed materials for piping systems

· Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects

· Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis

· Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to perform work activities and calculate requirements

· Complete and submit daily paperwork reporting time and job costs

· Be equipped with appropriate PPE at all times. Ensure any laborers/crew members also equipped with appropriate PPE

· Comply with all company policies and regulations

· Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations

EXPERIENCE: Experience with both Commercial and Residential welding & pipe fitting. Technical aptitude and ability to learn skillsets related to the project development.
