We carry over a hundred fresh & live species of seafood and 300 varieties of frozen and specialty products. Job Description
Duties to include, but not limited to:
Required Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
Required Experience: 10 Years + Please specify: Accounting experience, including supervisory experience in a high-volume transaction environment
Strong understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Excellent verbal and
written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills required
Demonstrated ability to positively lead teams through change
Working knowledge and analytical skills to make independent judgments in relation to complex accounting processes and the business
Strong computer and analytical skills: High proficiency in Excel, working knowledge of Access
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects/tasks in a high-volume, changing environment
Ability to maintain efficient and effective financial systems and procedures: Self-motivated with ability to work under and meet strict deadlines individually as well as in a team environment
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees
Ability to work flexible hours as required
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance or related area of study
Preferred Experience: 10 Years + Please specify: Accounting and/or food service distribution industry experience
SAP experience
Preferred Professional Certification(s): Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Master's in Business Administration (MBA)

Job Description
Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution
- Supervise and participate in monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close for OpCo
- Perform and/or review complex accounting reconciliation and analysis
- Direct activities of teams responsible for general ledger accounting, vendor billing, cash reconciliation, fixed assets, credit and related capital expenditure accounting
- Provide strategic recommendations for process improvements and efficient use of resources
- Effectively lead team(s) through change
- Maintain integrity of general ledger
- Ensure transactions are performed within a sound internal control environment
- Perform financial analysis as required
- Prepare various ad hoc reports, conduct analyses, and complete special projects as required
- Recommend and ensure adherence to accounting policies
- Prepare and review schedules for internal/external auditors in connection with reviews/audits
- Performs other related duties as assigned
