Seattle Cider Company Seeks FT Assistant Packaging Employee

About Us

We are Seattle Cider Company and Two Beers Brewing, crafters of award-winning cider and beer in Seattle’s Sodo neighborhood. We’ve been in the beer game since 2007, and cider since 2013. We work hard, play hard, and enjoy nothing more than kicking back with a pint after hours in our on-site tasting room.

Job Description

• Packaging—5 days / week (40 hours), until 10/28/2022
• Canning cider and beer on our semi-automated canning line
• Assist Shift Lead in all aspects of canning including set-up, tear down, and maintenance
• Assist in other production tasks
• Keg cleaning, racking, pallet wrapping, order prep, etc.

Applicants should have:

• Flexible schedule: this position is for an early shift (7am-3pm), but we will occasionally ask you to work an evening shift (2pm-10pm)
• Mechanical ability and intuition
• Willingness to work at a fast pace, yet be precise in daily tasks
• Willingness to adhere to company safety policies
• Ability to work well as a team as well as independently
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Passion and a commitment to excellence

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
• Ability to be frequently exposed to wet condition and work in cold conditions
• Frequently exposed to strong and sometimes disagreeable odors and occasionally exposed to caustic chemicals
• Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
• Ability to work in a moderate noise level

Compensation

$20.00/hour+, DOE

Benefits

· Paid Time Off accrued hourly, up to two weeks per year for full time work, increasing as length of service increases;

· Paid Safe/Sick Leave as mandated by the City of Seattle;

· Ten paid holidays per year;

· Medical & Dental Insurance after 60 days (premium funded 75% by Seattle Cider and 25% by employee);

· Eligible for 401(k) matching plan after 6 months;

· Free cider/beer based on company policy.
