Supervised by: Inside Sales Manager

Summary/Objective

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience. This role includes order entry, customer interaction and requires great organizational and communication skills.

Essential Functions

• Learn product applications to assist and educate customers with product selection and function.
• Enter orders into our ERP (currently SysPro scheduled to switch to SAP)
• Follow-up on customer inquiries, quotes, and order status, etc.
• Handle customer inquiries on order status, shipping questions, etc.
• Process customer return requests and return authorizations.
• Answering and routing incoming phone calls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, quota driven and be willing to work as part of a sales team. Requires professional and confident telephone skills. Proficient keyboarding and computer skills also required. We are looking for one to three years of sales experience and/or a combination of education and experience. Any experience in the construction or building materials industry is a big plus! SalesForce and/or SAP software knowledge are also a plus.

Travel

Less than 5 days per year.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED diploma.
• Three or more years of experience in customer service, order entry environment, within a building materials, construction estimating, hardware or product distribution company preferred
• Exposure or familiarity with The Cable Connection products (OEM, Ultra-Tec, and RailFX) and installation practices preferred.
