Cornerstone – Intake Therapist - Remote

Cornerstone empowers people living with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders to live, work, and integrate successfully into the community. As the largest outpatient behavioral health agency in Montgomery County, we offer years of evidence based treatment experience to our consumers and practical training to our staff. Our robust training program allows staff members to develop and grow in the position and provides the basis for upward mobility within the agency. This remote position conducts intakes, provides supportive therapy, substance abuse counseling and assertive case management, to include appropriate assessment, planning, coordination, linkage, delivery and advocacy of services for all assigned clients through telehealth services.

Responsibilities of the Intake Therapist – Remote

- Conduct clinic intakes for Outpatient Mental Health Clinics.

- Provide supportive therapy and substance abuse counseling for both individuals and groups through telehealth services.

- Provide clients with assertive case management including appropriate assessment, planning, coordination, linkage, delivery and advocacy of services for all assigned clients.

- Provide consultation to other programs as well as liaison services to outside agencies and families when needed.

Qualifications of the Intake Therapist - Remote

- Master’s degree in Social Work, LCSW-C in the State of Maryland

- Two to three years’ experience providing mental health services and addictions counseling

- Experience in individual, group and family therapy, case management and substance abuse treatment
