Seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for a busy warehouse located in Port Richey, FL!

Spherion is partnering with a local Plastic Injection Molding company in the Port Richey area to find a highly experienced Quality Assurance Inspector. The ideal Quality Assurance Inspector candidate would have Plastic Injection Molding experience, Caliper and Micrometer experience and be highly detail oriented. The Quality Assurance Inspector's main objectives will be first piece approval, in-process inspection, sample retention, Quality Assurance Inspectors documentation, Final Audit, AQL Sample inspections, Material certifications, Certificates of Compliance, Receiving inspections, and Final & receiving Quality Assurance documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create inspection record template; pull samples, quality alerts, and all required documents for future jobs per production schedule in accordance with QMS procedures.
  • Provide quality support during job start-ups and perform 1st piece inspection and approval in a timely manner.
  • Perform in-process sample inspections per inspection plans and record on inspection record.
  • Manage all part samples related to jobs running on the production floor; including pulling, creating, and returning to storage.
  • Document non-conforming products during inspection by opening NCR?s per QMS procedures.
  • Provide support to production machine operators and production team members related to product quality questions.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of all QA floor documentation at all points during production.
  • Provide support for customer specified SPC as required.
  • Perform AQL sample final inspections per inspection plan and in accordance with QMS procedure.
  • Perform AQL sample receiving inspections for all items used in the manufacturing of products in accordance with QMS procedure.
  • Ensure all incoming items used in manufacturing of products have certifications and those certifications are properly scanned and associated correctly for retrieval when required.
  • Create and accurately supply all certification of compliance documents as per customer requirements, including all appropriate material certifications or inspection data as required.
  • Ensure that all required final and receiving inspection records are complete and accurate in accordance with QMS procedures.
  • Backup and assist with floor inspections when workload permits or floor inspection team members are absent.

SKILLS:

  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and completing all required duties consistently.
  • Self-starter with the ability to motivate others.
  • Able to make decisions when required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Experienced in good manufacturing practices and quality initiatives and programs.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a team oriented work environment.
  • Working knowledge of injection molding processes.
  • Physically capable of frequently lifting boxes up to 30 lbs.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent pace in a fast moving production environment.
  • Working knowledge of inspecting techniques and testing procedures.
