Register Floor Nurse (RN) or License Practional Nurse (LPN)

Opening: AM's 7:00AM - 3:00PM, PM’s 3:00PM – 11:30PM, NOC 11:30PM - 7:00AM with rotating weekends and holidays

Role(s) Open: All Shifts!

Status: Full-Time, Part Time, or Pool Status Hourly Non-Exempt

Hales Corners Care Center’s mission is people. Our responsibility is to provide housing, physical care, but more importantly, to provide residents a way of life which is positive; to provide them with love and leadership to help aid in the understanding of aging phase of life. We are a 24 hours skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing quality care to our residents with 62 bed rooms which includes 44 private rooms. Our services include 24 hours nursing care, Medicare certified beds, physical, occupational, and speech therapy and so much more.

Summary Description: The primary function of this position is responsible for a team of residents to render general nursing care in accordance with state and federal guidelines. You’ll be responsible for administering approved nursing techniques to prescribed medications and treatments. Prepares and aid the Physicians during treatments and examinations of residents. Continuously observes residents for any significant conditions and reactions of residents and notifies Nurse Supervisor or Physician of resident’s conditions or reaction to drugs, treatments and incidents. Performs duties as outlined for Nursing Assistants in performing daily duties as needed.

Qualifications: In order to be considered for the position you must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.

Education:

· Must graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Experience:

  • Previous long-term care experience, preferably:
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of nursing care.
  • Demonstrates interest and positive attitude about working with long-term care residents and the elderly.
  • 1 year of experience is required.
  • Specific Requirements:
  • Must have a current active state licensure from the WI Board of Nursing or current home state license if considered multi-state/compact state. Active state licensure dependent on state associate works in.
  • Must be CPR certified.
  • Must have BLS Certification.
