The part-time lab technician is expected to:

• Maintain lab records and mouse colony (includes breeding, culling and genotyping animals)
• Perform molecular biology experiments including but not limited to: PCR analysis, immuno-labeling, Western blot, perfusions, dissections, microscopy
• Train undergraduate students in the lab
• Participate in lab meetings and planning sessions and read scientific literature

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a USDOE or internationally recognized accredited organization in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related science or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a culturally diverse population.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters of Science and/or PhD from a college or university accredited by a USDOE or internationally recognized accredited organization
• Previous experience with imaging and/or electrophysiology is desirable but not required.

Salary: $20,000 - $25,000 DOE
