Minimum Education: HS diploma or equivalent
Required Skills and Experience: Healthcare experience,personal computer literacy, and competency is required. Experience in Microsoft Suite. Professional oral and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong organization skills. Must be able to work a hybrid schedule.
Desires Skills and experience: Preferred 1-3 years of relevant experience. CRM or another computer database. Data entry experience. Any experience in healthcare, insurance, or working with doctors. Genex is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to work a hybrid schedule located in our Tampa, FL office.
Provides administrative processes support for tasks such as data entry, document verification, communication to providers and clients. Routine decision-making is tightly defined, with greater latitude at higher job levels, all the while focused on efficient processing of high-volume transaction-oriented assignments. Scope of work is defined by the contractual nature of the business.
Here are some of the tasks you will do daily:
- Schedules all incoming cases to Peer Review Department
- Locates a specialty matched physician on MCN’s physician panel
- Sets up the physician templates with all demographics, Dx, CPT codes and reason for the request
- Sorts and documents all medicals for the physician
- Follows up on cases for timely turnaround times
- Fixes incorrect information in case files and general upkeep
